How to get Heavy Hitter Affiliates to promote Your Products

Let's suppose you have a brand new product that is performing well. It converts at 10% or higher, the earnings per Click are incredible, and upsells are also doing amazing.

You are now able to contact MAJOR affiliate partners and associates to promote your product.

These heavy-hitters are looking to promote stuff that will make them serious money. You've already proved that your product can do that.

You can also make a lot of money by joining one of these joint ventures.

Your next step is to send JV emails informing your prospects about your conversion rate, earnings per Click, and so forth.

Let potential affiliates know that you have great swipe emails, banners, and a product unlike any other. You also have endorsements from current affiliates.

You have it all and are offering big-time affiliates the opportunity to make a lot of money.

They will knock on your door and sell your product until the cows return home.

No.

Although they have all the necessary ingredients and a track record of making these affiliates successful, very few will respond to your emails.

What is it that you should do to grab their attention? You're supposed to knock on their doors in a clown costume, carrying a live chicken and performing the Charleston on skates while balancing 22 spinning plates.

It might be possible if you think about it. There is a better way.

Let's take a look at the first step when your email lands in an affiliate's inbox.

In fact, your email did indeed arrive.

The affiliate actually sees it.

But...

Affiliates are lazy, just like everyone else.

They can see that they will make money from your promotion. It is possible they even plan to promote it.

They don't get around to it.

Imagine yourself in their shoes and that you have a large, responsive client list. You make $500 per product promotion to your list. Or $2,000 or even $5000.

This is your usual state of business, and you don't get excited about it.

You see daily sales from your continuity products, coaching, and affiliate promos.

During the spring thaw, the money flows like a river without you having to lift a finger.

It is hard to imagine reading through a review copy, taking a swipe, personalizing it with an affiliate link, then logging into Aweber and pasting the entire thing, formatting it, and finally sending it out.

You must do it. You think you can do it. Later.

However, you can always get distracted by other things, and later comes never.

Although it might seem strange to make $1000 per day with your own list, this is the way that many big affiliates work.

They are now big, fat, and yes, even a little lazy.

They get at least 4 to 5 requests per day.

Every.

Single.

Day.

Although it's difficult to feel sorry that someone is making $30,000 per month off their list, this promotion lethargy can happen to some marketers.

There are ways to increase your chances of having your product promoted.

Here are some suggestions:

The affiliate doesn't care much about your product. She cares more about the return she receives for her emails. If there were enough profits, some marketers might promote a course about how to destroy the world. (Okay, so that was harsh. But it is true.

Your product is just one of many she will hear about this week. Your chances of being promoted will be reduced if you blend in with the rest. This is why it's important to offer a solution for the affiliate.

What is her problem?

The first step is to choose the right email for her and do the rest of the work. Now, you have to make sure she does as much as possible.

Please do not ask her for the promotion when you contact her via email, IM, Skype, or other mediums. If she hasn’t filled it yet, let her know that you have a promotion ready for her next week.

You're likely on her email list, so you already know her preferences for how she sends emails. Send a swipe email that is tailored to her audience, written in her voice. Include her affiliate link in it.

Send her a copy of your review and all the data in an easy-to-read format. Earnings per Click, conversion rate, commissions, etc.

She should also know about other people who have promoted your product.

These things will set your email apart from the rest, and you will get it to read.

It is important to remove the inertia from her life and make her realize that she can only profit by promoting your offer. This will make you stand out from the rest of the product promoters who contact her. Let her know that your promotion will make her money.

You get the promotion, sales, new business relationships, and, yes, profit.
